Westin Smmet Inline Lure (11cm / 22g) Optimized Sea Trout Caster

Translated to English, the name Smmet means The Nailand this lighter inline lure is perfectly sized to nail those wary sea trout. This model of the Westin Smmet is an all-time favorite among hardcore Sea Trout anglers across Scandinavia. At 22 grams, it maintains exceptional long-casting ability while offering a slightly reduced sink rate compared to heavier models, providing an irresistible imitation of a wounded sand eel in the shallow coastal surf.

Coastal Casting Power, Hyper-Realistic Action

The Smmets slender, weighty profile (22g) makes it a perfect long-casting lure, allowing anglers to effortlessly reach distant feeding zones where big sea trout often feed.

Key Forage Imitation: While its profile is sleek, in the water, the Smmet provides a subtle, erratic actiona fantastic imitation of a fleeing or wounded sand eel, the primary forage for large sea trout hunting in shallow water.
Inline Concept Advantage: The innovative inline concept is critical; by allowing the hook to pivot freely, it significantly reduces the leverage a hooked fish can use to shake free, helping you lose less fish during aggressive runs and leaps.
Target Species: Specifically designed and developed in Scandinavia for targeting large Sea Trout (Seatrout), but its irresistible action makes it highly effective for coastal Cod and other predators.

Rigging Tips for Optimal Hook-Ups

To maximize the Smmets effectiveness and the benefits of its inline system:

Standard Rigging: Run your mainline directly through the lures body. Use a small round or oval bead to protect the knot. Then, tie the line directly to a single or treble hook of your choice.
Free Swinging Hook (Recommended): For the highest hook-up rate and minimized leverage, mount your hook on an oval split ring and tie your knot to the double-stranded part of the ring.
