Product Type	Soft Rig Crimps / Crimp Sleeves
Capacity	Designed to crimp monofilament fishing line ranging from approximately 15lb to 80lb breaking strain.
Material/Finish	Soft generally means they are made of a malleable metal (like copper or soft brass/aluminum) to ensure a secure grip without weakening or cutting the line when correctly crimped. They often have an anodized finish.
Available Sizes	They are often available in different lengths for different applications:
4mm: A shorter length, generally for lighter crimping tasks.
8mm: A longer length, which provides greater grip and is often preferred for the higher end of the stated line capacity (e.g., 60lb to 80lb mono).
Packaging	Typically sold in packets of 100 or larger value packs of 1000.

Function and Use in Rig Building:

The crimps are used as a reliable alternative to knots in rig construction:

Securing Components: Their primary use is to secure various components (like swivels, beads, or hooks) onto a monofilament leader or rig body.
Creating Fixed Stops: They are essential for creating fixed points on a rig, such as a Paternoster Rig, where the crimps hold the hook length swivel in a permanent position.
Neatness and Strength: When used with the correct crimping tool and technique, they provide a very neat, low-profile, and near-100% strong connection, which is often more reliable than a knot on very heavy monofilament.
