Abel Vaya Fly Reel delivers precision and power for demanding fly-fishing scenarios. Crafted by avid Colorado anglers, the VAYA series introduces a technical look paired with standout performance.

The partially-ported frame minimizes weight while preserving rigidity, and it highlights Abels hand-anodized finishes. Inside the frame, CNC-milled patterns are tailored to each reel size, marrying engineering with aesthetics for a distinct, performance-focused profile.

The large-arbor spool features a precision-balanced, dual-pawl drag engagement that eliminates the need for a counterweight. The spools incoming click complements the audible, smooth feel of the outgoing drag, while the carbon / stainless multi-disk drag system provides substantial resistance with a broad range of adjustability for delicate tippet.
