Key Features and Specifications

Feature	Details
Model Code	SCR40
Hook Type	Octopus or Beak style. This refers to the pronounced, curved-in needle point and short shank.
Strength	Extra Strong / Heavy Gauge Wire and Forged Bend. This construction is designed to withstand hard-fighting species without bending.
Point	Curved-in Beak Point that is chemically sharpened. This design provides superb penetration and helps lock the hook securely in place.
Shank	Short Shank, which is good for concealing in baits and increasing the hooks strength leverage.
Eye	Turned Up Eye (Up-Eye). This alignment makes it an excellent choice for snelling the hook (a superior knot for this style) and makes it sit perfectly as the top hook in a pennel rig.
Alignment	Offset Bend. The hook point is slightly displaced from the plane of the shank, which is generally believed to improve hook-up rates.
Finish	Corrosion-resistant Black Nickel finish.
Application	Versatile for boat and shore fishing. Excellent for presenting larger baits like fish strips and crab baits.
Target Species	The smaller sizes are popular for Bream and Wrasse, while the larger sizes are effective for hard-fighting species like Smoothhound (Hounds), Rays, and Cod.
