The Daiwa Connoisseur name is legendary among UK coarse and match anglers, and the 15 Power 3pc Float Rod represents the pinnacle of modern float fishing engineering for when you need extra muscle. This rod is specifically designed for the discerning angler tackling large, challenging venuesthink big river chub, powerful carp on pellet waggler setups, or punching heavy floats into a strong wind on vast reservoirs. The added length and stepped-up power rating over the standard waggler models offer an exceptional combination of distance, line control, and fighting authority.

Product Details and Uses (Focus on UK Fishing)

The 15ft length is crucial for long-range float fishing across wide rivers and expansive stillwaters, allowing you to mend your line effectively, keep line off the surface to eliminate drag from wind or tow, and achieve instant hook-sets at distance.

• Commercial Carp: This is the ultimate pellet waggler rod for large commercial carp fisheries. The Power action effortlessly handles loaded wagglers up to 20g, while the robust blank provides the backbone necessary to tame double-figure carp quickly and decisively, keeping them away from snags and aerators.
• River Specialist: Perfect for targeting large specimens like Barbel and big Chub on powerful UK rivers such as the Trent, Severn, or Wye. It excels at controlling heavy stick floats, bobbers, or large block-end feeders (where float fishing is permitted) in fast-flowing water, offering superior line control over shorter rods.
• Long-Range Natural Water Fishing: Ideal for fishing big wagglers, sliders, or bolo floats on large, deep natural venues (reservoirs, big gravel pits) where strong winds and distance demand a high-power, high-modulus blank to maintain accuracy and control.

Advanced Technology

This flagship rod is constructed using Daiwas finest carbon technologies to ensure a balance of lightweight handling and formidable power:

• HVF Nanoplus Carbon: High Volume Fibre carbon combined with Nanoplus resin technology results in a blank that is significantly lighter, stronger, and more sensitive than standard carbon, allowing for comfortable, fatigue-free use over long sessions.
• X45 Bias Carbon Technology: This revolutionary blank construction eliminates twist (torque) on the cast and during the fight, ensuring maximum casting accuracy, crisper power delivery, and exceptional stability when fighting hard-running fish.
• V-Joint Alpha: The spigot joint is designed to compress and flex with the blank under load, creating a seamless, one-piece curve for a smooth action that protects lighter hooklengths while still delivering immense lifting power.
