Fox Camolite Compact Bed The Ultimate Low-Profile Sleeping System

Dont let a smaller shelter stop you from getting a world-class nights sleep. The Fox Camolite Compact Bed is specifically engineered for the mobile angler and those who prefer a low-profile, stealth setup. By combining a completely fold-flat profile with a high-spec lumbar support system, this bed ensures you wake up refreshed and ready for the morning bite, without the bulk of a full-sized frame.

At Gerrys Fishing, we find the Compact model is the go-to for anglers using small brolly systems or tight one-man bivvies. It features the same premium fleece lining and iconic Camolite trim as its larger brothers but in a streamlined package that is significantly easier to transport and fit into tight swims.

Key Features & Performance

• Total Lumbar Support: Say goodbye to hammocking. The full lumbar support system provides a firm, consistent surface that prevents the mattress from sagging over time.

• Ergonomic Flat Profile: Designed to be completely flat, mimicking your mattress at home for maximum back comfort and a more natural sleeping position.

• Luxury Insulation: A fleece-lined central mattress keeps you warm in the winter, while the durable Camolite polyester outer trim handles the scuffs and scrapes of bankside life.

• Double-Hinge Technology: Features a clever pair of double hinges that allow you to fold the bed flat with a 3- or 5-season sleeping bag still attached inside.

• Integrated Pillow: The head end features an extra padded section, providing immediate support if you want to travel light and leave the dedicated pillow at home.

• All-Terrain Stability: Six fully adjustable legs with large, swiveling mud-feet ensure a rock-solid, level base on even the softest ground.

Where to Use This Bed

• Small Brolly Systems: The 85cm width and low 30cm minimum height make this perfect for tucking deep into the back of a 50 or 60 brolly.

• Tight Swims: If youre fishing a heavily wooded hole in the bushes style swim, the compact footprint gives you more room for your luggage and chair.

• Mobile Roving: At 11.4kg, its the lightest in the range, making it the best choice for the barrow-based angler who moves swims frequently.

Pro Tip from the Gerrys Team

Because this bed sits lower to the ground (starting at 30cm), its a brilliant choice for under-the-stars summer fishing. It keeps your centre of gravity low, providing better stability on uneven grass. To keep the hinges moving smoothly, ensure you dont over-tighten the side straps when a very thick sleeping bag is insidelet the double hinges do the work!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Compact size large enough for a tall angler?

At 205cm (approx. 6ft 8in) long, it is surprisingly spacious. While it is narrower than the Standard or XL, most average-height anglers find it more than enough room for a comfortable nights sleep.

Does it come with a sleeping bag?

No, this is the bed only. However, it is designed to pair perfectly with the Fox Camolite sleeping bag range, which can be folded inside the bed for easy transport.

Can I adjust the firmness of the mattress?

The lumbar support is built into the frame to provide a consistent, firm feel. This is a massive upgrade over traditional elasticated beds where you have to constantly tighten cords to stop the sagging.
