The Popkey 65 Rattle Pencil Floating Lure is a compact floating pencil for small bait, calm water, and situations where predators are looking up but not committing to oversized topwater lures.

Work it with short downward rod taps and enough slack to let the lure swing side to side.

Speed it up when fish are chasing, slow it down when they follow, and use pauses because many surface strikes come just after the lure stops.

It is strongest over flats, along breakwalls, around bait schools, river mouths, reef edges, and low-light feeding lanes.

It is not the right pick when fish are glued to bottom or the water is too dirty for them to track the surface.
