Megabass Destroyer P5 F7.1/2-711X “Super Seven Eleven”

Indeed, the Destroyer lineup includes some unique character models that have enjoyed an unshakeable reputation for a quarter of a century. The Megabass Destroyer P5 F7.1/2-711X “Super Seven Eleven” is one of them. For Ito’s close friend and pioneer of American angling, the late Aaron Martens, as well as for his Megabass USA collaborator Randy Blaukat, “Seven Eleven” was an important partner that helped shape their own future paths. The story of “Seven Eleven” is one that transformed Megabass’s challenges into today’s successes. What makes “Seven Eleven” so remarkable is the fact that, under the tournament rules established in the USA at the time, which prohibited the use of rods over 8 feet, Megabass competed with what was then the world’s longest rod, measuring 7’11”, and thus qualified for the competition. In close-quarters fishing, they used light Texas rigs or jigs weighing around 1/2 ounce to outsmart tough, shallow waters and contributed to success as limit-makers with Griffon, Ultra, and spinnerbaits in expansive, shallow areas. Furthermore, they could boost their scores by using crankbaits like the DEEP-X200 and 300 from the offshore range. These outstanding specifications allowed many professional anglers to pave their way in the angling world. It’s all based on the specific features of “Seven Eleven,” which Ito developed to win. This legend lives on, updated with even higher specifications and returning to the modern era.
