Megabass Vision 110 +1 Junior 9.8cm | 11g: The Compact Mid-Range Specialist

The Megabass Vision 110 +1 Junior is a high-performance compact jerkbait engineered to target the toughest midrange waters. At Gerrys Fishing, we see this as an absolute reference for those finesse situations where matching smaller bait really counts. At 9.8cm and 11g, it retains the overwhelming results of its larger sibling but in an agile performer profile that fools wary predators in high-pressure environments.

By aligning the uniquely contoured diving bill along the central axis, Megabass has created a lure that delivers outsize, erratic darting action from a smaller frame, making it reliably lethal when predators are keyed into small forage.

Engineering & Ballistic Precision

• Linear Dual-Tungsten Moving Balancer: Despite its compact size, the Junior features a Moving Balancer System with dual-tungsten weights.2 This generates the energy required for incredible flight distance, allowing the lure to launch like a bullet even in rough conditions.

• Aerodynamic Diving Bill: The bill is engineered to drastically reduce unnecessary air resistance. This ensures the lure maintains its balance during the cast, hitting distant positions that other small diving jerkbaits simply cannot reach.

• Sculpted Hydrodynamics: The uniquely contoured diving bill channels water along sculpted body lines.5 This design powers outsize, erratic darting action, providing a vibrant and frantic movement that is bound to attract predators.

• Striking Flash: Inheriting the proven ONETEN design, the Junior generates striking flash at the slightest twitch, essential for luring in predators from afar in mid-range depths.

Tactical Applications & Strategy

The Vision 110 +1 Junior is a precision tool for studying predators when they are feeding on small fry. The Gerrys team suggests:

• The Match the Hatch Tactic: When predators are searching for a meal consisting of small sprats, minnows, or young-of-the-year shad, the 9.8cm profile is essential. It provides a natural silhouette that doesnt overwhelm wary fish.

• The Mid-Range Prospector: Use this lure to prospect quickly through depths where standard jerkbaits run too shallow. It is ideal for flushing out fish holding on deeper weed edges or submerged rock piles.

• Finesse in Rough Conditions: Use the dual-tungsten weights to tame the headwind. Even though it is a Junior model, it is pure muscle in flight, allowing you to reach unexplored areas of the lake or estuary.

• The Jerk & Static Trigger: Utilize its suspending nature. After an erratic darting sequence, pause the retrieve. The lure will hang perfectly in the strike zone, waiting for any predator to commit to a brutal strike.

Gerrys Verdict:

The Megabass Vision 110 +1 Junior (9.8cm/11g) is a high-value tool for the dedicated angler. It solves the problem of hitting the distance with a small diving lure while maintaining outstanding performance. For compact mid-range dominance, the Junior is unstoppable.
