The Anniversary Trio: Big-Water Specialists

This kit brings together three 11cm and 12cm powerhouses designed to entice specimen predators:

• Floater Elite 12cm Gilded Pearl Shad: The pinnacle of the R90 collection. This new-generation Floater Elite features a perfectly balanced body for high-speed trolling and the exclusive Gilded Pearl Shad finish, created specifically to honor Rapalas 90-year legacy.

Pro Tip from Gerrys Fishing

The S-Curve Troll: When trolling these balsa lures, dont just drive in a straight line. The Scatter Rap Minnow in this kit thrives on speed changes. Periodically steer the boat in a wide S-pattern. On the inside of the turn, the lure will slow down and rise slightly; on the outside, it will accelerate and kick erratically. This change in rhythm is exactly what causes a big, following Trout to strike.

Examples of Where to Use

• Large Natural Lochs & Reservoirs: The 11cm and 12cm profiles are perfect for mimicking larger prey like Roach, Perch, or small Whitefish in deep, open water.

• Clear, Sunny Days: Use the Lapinkulta (Gold of Lapland) pattern. Its warm, natural glow is designed to catch the sunlight without spooking wary fish in high-visibility conditions.

• Overcast Mornings: The Gold Star Foil provides maximum reflection in low-light conditions, making it easier for predators to track your lure from a distance.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What makes the Scatter Rap action different?

Unlike a standard lure that swims in a straight line, the Scatter Rap Minnow features a specialized lip that makes the lure hunt from side to side. It mimics the panicked, erratic movement of a baitfish, which is a massive strike trigger for predators like Salmon and Ferox Trout.

Is the Floater Elite 12cm suitable for high-speed trolling?

Yes. The Elite series is built with a modernized, balanced construction that allows it to remain stable even at higher trolling speeds where traditional balsa lures might blow out or spin.

Is this kit a limited production?

Absolutely. The R90 kits are a one-time release for 2026. Once they are gone, these specific colorwaysespecially the Gilded Pearl Shad and Gold Star Foilwill become highly sought-after collectors items.

Can I use these for Pike as well?

While designed for big Trout, Pike absolutely love the 11cm-12cm profile. The balsa body is durable, and the wire-through construction of the Elite model ensures it can handle the pressure of a big croc
