The Micro-Jigging Specialist Stealthy Action for Finesse Predators

The Sakura Loujig ZN 20g is the smallest and most finesse oriented model in the Loujig range. At just 62mm, it is the perfect imitation of whitebaitthe tiny anchovies and sardines that predators often become obsessed with during the summer months. Despite its small stature, the 20g weight provides surprising casting distance on light gear, making it a favorite for Street Fishing and light rock fishing (LRF) enthusiasts.

Constructed from Zinc Alloy (0% Lead), this jig is not only environmentally friendly but technically superior for shallow-water applications. Zincs lower density gives this 20g lure a larger volume than a lead equivalent, resulting in a much more pronounced, slower butterfly flutter on the sinkstaying in the strike zone longer than any lead jig could.

    Technical Highlights

    • Optimal Butterfly Fall: The asymmetrical geometry is the core of the Loujigs success. When you pause your retrieve, the 62mm body tumbles horizontally with a high-frequency flash. The 20g Zinc body provides the perfect balance of weight for casting and buoyancy for a slow, seductive fluttering descent.

    • Laser-Sharp Aesthetics: Equipped with high-definition laser decoration and holographic film, the 20g model produces a micro-flash that is highly effective in clear water. The UV-reactive paint ensures the lure pops even in the ultraviolet light spectrum, which fish see much more clearly than humans.

    • Tough Zinc Shell: Unlike soft lead jigs that deform and lose their paint when they hit rocks, the Zinc Alloy is remarkably hard. The reinforced varnish acts as an extra layer of armor, preserving the lures finish during aggressive bottom-tapping sessions.

    • Versatile Animation:

      • High-Speed Burn: On a fast, steady retrieve, it vibrates with a tight oscillating sway, perfect for Mackerel and Scad.

      • Slow-Pitch Style: Using short, soft lifts of the rod tip, it darts erratically like a tiny fry in distress.

Where & How to Use It

    • Light Coastal Fishing: The 20g weight is the perfect match for Medium-Light (ML) or Medium (M) rods. It is the ultimate tool for targeting Sea Bass, Perch, and Horse Mackerel in harbors, estuaries, and from the beach.

    • Summer Boil Hunting: When you see small fish jumping at the surface, cast the Loujig 20g right into the middle. Its small profile matches the hatch perfectly, preventing the fish from becoming suspicious.

    • Freshwater Multi-Species: Dont limit this to the sea! The 20g Loujig is an incredible lure for large Perch, Asp, and even Trout in deep lake sections or fast-flowing rivers.

    • Deep Harbor Vertical: Drop it straight down bridge pilings or harbor walls. The slow, fluttering fall is irresistible to fish hiding in the shadows.

    Gerrys Pro Tip:

The 62mm 20g is my match the hatch secret weapon. When the Bass are feeding on tiny fry and wont look at anything else, this is the one. I highly recommend using a 7 or 76 Medium-Light Sakura Ryokan rod with PE 0.8 or 1.0 braid. Because this jig is so light and fluttery, I often swap the rear treble for a single Sakura Assist Hook on the front. This makes it almost snag-proof and gives it a much more aggressive kick when you twitch it
