Key Features

• Toray 30T Blank: The high-modulus Japanese carbon provides a lightweight, responsive feel. The fast action allows for lightning-quick hook-sets, which is essential when fishing for aggressive predators like Bass.

• Coil Control (CCS) Guides: These specialized guides are designed to prevent line tangles and minimize friction. This allows your line to flow off the spool with minimal resistance, resulting in effortless, long-distance casts even in windy coastal conditions.

• Alien Lockdown Reel Seat: This proprietary reel seat design ensures your reel stays rock-solid on the rod blank. By eliminating any movement between the reel and the rod, you get maximum feel, allowing you to detect subtle lure vibrations or soft bites instantly.

• Anti-Glare Finish: The matt green finish isnt just for looks; it prevents the rod from reflecting sunlight, which can be an advantage when stalking fish in shallow, clear water.

Pro Tip for Anglers

The 1235g casting range makes this rod incredibly versatile. To get the most out of it for Bass, use it as your do-it-all shore tool. Pair it with a 3000 or 4000-sized reel and 1.01.2 PE braid. When fishing with soft plastics, the fast action allows you to twitch your lure to mimic an injured baitfish. If you switch to metal lures (like jigs) for reaching distance in rougher seas, the tip has enough sensitivity to show you the lures vibration, yet the blank has the reserves to handle 35g leads without wobbling or collapsing during the cast.

Where to Use

• Shore Bass Fishing: This is the primary design purpose. It is perfectly weighted for everything from light estuary plastics to larger surface plugs and metals used on open beaches.

• Mixed Ground: The fast action allows you to steer fish away from rocky outcrops or kelp beds quickly before they can find cover.

• Versatile Lure Work: Whether you are using topwater poppers, diving plugs, or weightless soft baits, this rod covers almost every eventuality in a typical shore fishing session.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is this rod too stiff for smaller lures?

While it is a Medium Game rod, the Toray blank is highly responsive. It handles 12g lures very well, providing enough tip flex to load the rod for a cast, while still having the power to handle the top end of the 35g range with ease.

How does the Alien Lockdown reel seat feel?

It feels very secure. It is ergonomically contoured to fit the palm of your hand, which reduces fatigue. Because it locks the reel foot so effectively, youll notice that the rod feels like an extension of your arm, making it much easier to work lures with precision.

Is the anti-glare finish durable?

Yes, the matt finish is designed to be tough and resistant to the saltwater environment. Unlike glossy coatings that can scratch and show swirls, the matt finish is highly durable and maintains its stealthy look even after seasons of regular use on rugged shorelines.
