Solar Black-Lite Centre-Loc Adjustable Back Rest (Mini) The Precision Rod Grip

The Solar Black-Lite Centre-Loc Adjustable Back Rest Mini is a high-performance, precision-engineered rod grip designed for the modern carp and specialist angler.1 While some general descriptions might suggest use as a back rest for lounging, in the world of Gerrys Fishing, this is a critical piece of bankware designed to lock your rod butt securely in place, especially during violent takes or when fishing locked up near snags.

Constructed from high-grade, lightweight aluminum with a sleek black-anodized finish, the Mini version offers a more compact and understated profile on your buzz bars without sacrificing any of the legendary Solar grip.2

Product Details & Performance Features

• Centre-Loc Adjustable Technology: The standout feature of this back rest is the unique Centre-Loc system. By using the small Allen key (usually supplied), you can adjust the width of the gripping arms.3 This means whether you use naked carbon rod butts, slim shrink-wrap, or full cork handles, you can achieve a perfect, custom-fit tension.

• Lightweight Black-Lite Construction: Part of the Black-Lite range, this accessory is designed for the weight-conscious angler. It provides the strength of stainless steel but at a fraction of the weight, making it ideal for mobile anglers or those who use lightweight aluminum buzz bars.

• Secure Rod Retention: The rubber-coated arms provide a high-friction grip that prevents the rod from sliding forward during a screaming run.4 However, the design ensures that when you pick up the rod, it releases cleanly and instantly.

• Compact Mini Profile: The Mini version is designed for anglers who prefer a low-profile setup.5 It looks incredibly sleek on a buzz bar and reduces the bulk in your tackle box or alarm pouch.

• Durable & Weather Resistant: The high-quality anodizing ensures that the back rest will not corrode or fade over time, even with constant exposure to rain and UV light.

Gerrys Pro Tip: The Centre-Loc Mini is the best choice for snag fishing. If you need to fish with your drags tightened down to stop a fish reaching a fallen tree, you need a back rest that wont let the rod be pulled off the reel seat. Adjust these arms so they click slightly over the diameter of your rod butt for total security.
