Westin W3 Finesse T&C 3rd Generation Spinning Rod 71 M (7-21g)

The Westin W3 Finesse T&C 3rd Generation 71 M (Spinning) is the essential specialist rod designed for modern predator anglers utilizing Texas and Carolina rig (T&C) techniques with an emphasis on power, precision, and responsive control.

Built on a responsive and lightweight Torayca high-performance carbon blank, this rod offers the perfect balance of unmatched sensitivity and crucial backbone. It is expertly engineered to help you target wary predators like perch, zander, and bass with confidence, even in heavy cover.

Features & Angler Benefits

• Medium Power (M): The 721g casting weight is the strong, versatile range for T&C rigs, ensuring precise control over your soft lure presentation while providing enough muscle for solid hook-sets in thick vegetation or hard-mouthed species.

• Texas & Carolina Rig Focus: Purpose-built action and unparalleled sensitivity allow you to feel every bump along the bottom and detect even the lightest bites. This is crucial for interpreting structure and identifying tentative takes.

• Crisp Action for Hook-Sets: The responsive, fast action delivers instant power, which is especially important when fishing in cover or targeting species with tough mouths like zander and bass.

• Optimal Balance & Control: The 71 length offers the ideal compromise between casting range and maneuverability, allowing for accurate pitches around structure and effective control of the lures movement during retrieval.

• Refined Rig Work: Whether you are slowly dragging soft lures over structure or twitching baits through vegetation, the rod provides the precision and control needed for refined rig work.

• Premium Spinning Components: Equipped with the secure Carbon SKS-LS Reel Seat and durable EUKTLTSG Guides, ensuring reliable performance and minimum friction with braided lines and fluorocarbon leaders.

Ideal Fishing Applications

The 71 length, Medium (M) power, and fast action make this rod highly specialized for finesse spinning techniques:

1. Texas Rig (T-Rig) in Cover:

   • Technique: Casting weighted Texas rigs or heavier jigs into vegetation, wood, or rocky structure.

   • Benefit: The M power provides the necessary backbone to penetrate a tough mouth and secure the hook-set, even through light cover.

2. Zander and Bass Jigging:

   • Technique: Using medium-sized soft plastics and finesse rigs to target pressured zander and bass.

   • Benefit: The sensitivity ensures you dont miss the subtle takes often associated with these species, while the power handles the fish after the strike.

3. Twitching and Shaking Soft Lures:

   • Technique: Subtle manipulation of soft plastics around structure.

   • Benefit: The crisp action is perfectly tuned to impart lifelike action without overworking the bait.
